Control Acne

Acne ... that affects most teenagers and many adults well into middle age. It is terrible and desperate for many people who suffer from this common skin condition. Clearing acne begins by understanding what acne really is and what triggers it. Then we will examine how they can be controlled by lifestyle, the choice of skin care and rational use of makeup.

Who suffers?

Teenagers struggle with acne, but many adults. The outbreaks of acne can be caused by fluctuations in hormone levels at different stages of life, like puberty, pregnancy or menopause. What is it?

We can not change our genetics, but we can change the other three factors to help reduce the likelihood of outbreaks of acne.

How acne can be controlled?

The skin needs to be cleaned, fed and maintained. Externally, the skin benefits from a simple scheme:

- Clean with a mild, slightly acidic and all natural soap. Other kinds of soaps can cause redness, pain, irritation or tightness because of the harsh chemicals, dyes, detergents and perfumes, which are made with. Avoid all products that contain ingredients that can irritate or dry skin. Most often guilty ingredients are petroleum, synthetic or animal.

- Tone with an alcohol-free, all natural toner, since alcohol is drying to the skin and the sebaceous glands will produce more sebum. Toner also helps reduce the bacterial population on the skin, reducing the number of bacteria which will migrate into the pores.

- Moisturize with a petroleum free cream. Petroleum is comedogenic and can clog pores unnecessarily. The creams that contain natural waxes such as beeswax do not have a comedogenic effect on the pores. At night, massage oil on the skin of the face, as it helps to increase circulation to the skin surface and removes the sebaceous glands produce excess oil.

There are natural alternatives to help control acne, such as tea tree, lemon and juniper berry essential oils. They are effective and much safer to use to treat acne.

Acne can be a source of frustration for many. Much can be done, however, to minimize the occurrence of eruptions reduce the impact of acne on our lives. Make adjustments in our lifestyle diet and skin care can lead to clearer, more radiant and healthy skin, free at last from acne.
